I've had no issues setting up our kiosks that are wired. However I am having an issue with wireless.
When I install / run setup everything works. It connects to wireless with the ssid and password, downloads chrome, sees the remote config file, installs the kiosk on the hard drive, reboots, sees the config file, updates, reboots, then can't see the server again.
The error says gateway not set, which I don't think is the right error, I think it doesn't have internet connection. I assumed based on settings in the config file. I tried every combination of things and even removed all settings for the network from the config file figuring since it works before the config file it should keep those settings if not overwritten by the config file. I know I must be missing something. Here is the config file now as it stands for the wireless kiosk. I now have everything network related commented out except connection wifi.
I've reinstalled this thing with different combinations 10x at least.
TIA

wireless installation issue
Hi jvercelletto,
1) Since when we use 'mac address' for nested configurations?
2) This makes no sense (hint: you can use one or another but never both):
Please read documentation carefully.
Thanks

Code: Select all
session_idle=5
session_idle_forced=720

wireless installation issue
Hi Fanthom,
Sorry, I didn't mean mac address... I do use the address given during installation. When I removed that for security of the post I inadvertently typed mac address.
As for session idle, that's fine. I'll remove one. Didn't catch that, but has nothing to do with this issue and is working fine with both in with other kiosks.
Thanks, John

Hello mrk,
Can remember but i guess remote config had incorrect wireless parameters so that after first reconfiguration the connection to the Access Point was lost.
Thanks
