Hello all,
I installed thin client on 15 computers for a school and this works great
The computes connect using rdp to a special Windows terminal server (multipoint server) and the teacher can see all clients. Now, he's asking if there's a way to attrib a different name (for example accorind to it's mac address) to each client to be able to distinguish them when displayed on its screen ?
(I've a central config.txt file clients connect to via http when booting)
Thanks very much for your help
Arnaud

Attrib different hostname to each thin client ?
You can use nested configurations:
http://porteus-kiosk.org/remote-management.html#nested
and setup different hostname for each client.
If you want this to be automatic (generated from MAC) then custom build will be necessary.
