Auto Start Firefox

Hi

We are currently trialing Porteus server and thin client, we have built the server and have built a client which is connecting to the server. We would like to launch Firefox at start-up on the clients so that users are presented with our citrix homepage but we are struggling with the command.

If it's possible, we want to use the config file for the launch, we found this topic Launch Firefox on Kiosk ThinClient load [Solved] and copied the command in reply #2 into our client config file but when we've restarted the client it hasn't work.

run_command=sed -i 's/#su - guest/su - guest/' $scripts/gui-app

Is this the correct way to configure launching a program at start-up and if so, what do I need to change the command to?

Hi ivitteam,

Just checked and this parameter works for me (Firefox is automatically started).
Maybe you have another 'run_command=' in your config already (only one parameter is allowed as per remote management rules)?
Please post your kiosk config.
