Hi,
one of our terminals stopped working after a power failure. After I reinstalled the system, it worked again.
Understanding question: I thought that Porteus is installed "encapsulated" or unchangeable on the hard disk. When booting, the system is then loaded into RAM. Is this correct?
If "yes", then I wonder that the power failure had any effect?
BR,
Michael

general question
Michael,
If you do not use 'persistence=full' parameter then kiosk is read-only.
Power failure should not affect the system unless the storage media get damaged.
You may do a few power cuts and see if you can recreate the error. If yes then I'll be happy to investigate this further.
Yes - system is loaded to RAM during boot.
Thanks
