Hi Guys,
I am running Porteus 5.5 on an Intel NUC7i3BNK, which operates an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 Wifi chip.
I am starting Porteus installation from a USB stick and no wifi can be detected.
I found I might need to copy a firmware file to
I downloaded the file here:
https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/ ... eless.html
Now I am unsure where to copy the file to and how to access. I assume on the USB stick I use for the Porteus installation?! Unfortunately I cannot find any /lib/firmware folder there.
Any help is appreciated here. Thanks!

Hello Chillkroete,
Porteus Kiosk should have a firmware for all Intel wifi chipsets included by default.
Perhaps the problem is elsewhere (e.g. wifi is disabled by a hardware switch or in the BIOS).
Please use wired connection (USB to Ethernet dongle if needed), generate debug log in the wizard:

upload it to pastebin.com and link here.
Thanks

Debug log which you posted does not list any wifi card.
As I said before: it must be disabled, disconnected or damaged.
Please boot Ubuntu or Windows and check if wifi works on this PC (I'm sure it will not unless you fix hardware related problem).
Thanks

That was indeed the issue. Acticated wifi in BIOS and everything works like a charme. Thanks a lot!
