[Solved]Certificate import

Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

[Solved]Certificate import

Post#1 by maxzewe » 08 Mar 2021, 10:56

Hello Porteus Forum,

I'm new here in the Forum and I try towrite my problem in englisch...
I want to use the Porteus Kiosk System Rel. 5.1.0.
My ISO-Image is ready but I have a little problem with it.
Mein ISO-Image ist soweit fertig bis auf eine Kleinigkeit.
How can I import my Certificate (*.pk12 with password) to the Firefox Browser ?
Loading the Certificate about a Website like in the Porteus Assistant isn't possible...

Can you help me ?

Greetings

Markus

Hello Markus,

You need to remaster the ISO yourself and add your cert to the browser profile (we do not help with this):
https://porteus-kiosk.org/kiosk-customization.html

or use a kiosk paid service for custom builds:
https://porteus-kiosk.org/builds.html

Thanks

1) Firefox profile in in 003-settings.xzm module.

2) Make sure the files you add have 1000:1000 ownership and proper permissions so will be readable by the Firefox.

Thats all i can help.
