TeamViewer in Porteus Kiosk

Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

TeamViewer in Porteus Kiosk

Post#1 by s.luebke » 04 Nov 2015, 09:56

Hello,
is it possible to use teamviewer to monitor the kiosk terminal? Has anyone an idea how to do this?
I created a teamviewer modul which is basicly working but teamviewer generates a new id on each startup since the configs are not saved.

Hello s.laubke,

Once in the past i was trying to create a custom build with TeamViewer but i failed. Looks like this application requires at least a panel with a systray to run.

You could always enable VNC access in the wizard and monitor kiosks through it.
If kiosks are placed behind the NAT/proxy/firewall and cant be accessed directly through VNC then Porteus Kiosk Server may be the solution:

Thank you.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
