Hello,

I have installed a PORTEUS Kiosk to one of my machine and i have setup mostly without problems.

I really was surprised, that there was not much to do. click click and ready but, there’s always a but:

Right now we have site as homepage. Its inside frame. We have several exteranl sites. We would like to disable any popups. Right now, when i click one a link, it will popup and overlay on all kiosk.

One way i guess is to start blacklisting/whitelisting all the unwanted sites, but when the site has advertising popups, then i dont i can list them all.

hello marekmust,

popups are blocked in kiosk by default (you can allow them in the wizard and even then they should be opened as a separate tab and not window).
could you post an URL to the site which opens a window so i can check this myself? if you dont want to post the URL publicly then please send to support@porteus-kiosk.org.

thank you

Hello,

For example i have actully two sites. I need them run in frame:
http://www.airliners.net/

Anoter one is kind of complicated:
http://www.flightradar24.com/

But the problem itself is not with siteself, but the ADDS, that are one right side and left side (facebook and Google+).
Once you click on them the sitekiosk will jump into new window (overlaying others).

BR,
Marek

are you running the kiosk with the navigation bar disabled? if yes then please try in normal mode or with address bar disabled.
if no then please send me an URL to your custom webpage on support@porteus-kiosk.org and i'll check how the firefox behaves on your own page.

Once you click on them the sitekiosk will jump into new window (overlaying others).
sitekiosk? we dont use it here :)

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. I made it work, using the tabs option, but.

How to whitelist:
http://www.flightradar24.com/
http://www.airliners.net/

When i whitelist them "whitelist" list they will be blocked, because alot stuff is included inside that site.

BR,
Marek

@Marek,

tried whitelist on linked sites and it works pretty well - only external stuff is cut.
please check yourself.
