djvu files

Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

djvu files

Post#1 by cinmar » 26 Feb 2015, 14:39

Hi, do you think it is possible to add djvulibre (http://djvu.sourceforge.net/) to Porteus Kiosk? As far as I understood it is the only way to open djvu files within firefox in Linux...I think that the problem is that djvulibre isn't a simple firefox plugin, but it's composed of a "program" and a browser plugin: is it possible to edit firefox and settings xzm modules simultaneously?

hi cinmar,

you will need djvulibre + djview packages and their deps. djview contains nsplugin for viewing djvu files in firefox. seems that qt4 is one of the deps so it may be not that easy to get this plugin to work:
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewv ... iew=markup

thats all what i can say as i havent made any custom kiosk build with this plugin yet.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
