HI

I have set up the latest version of Porteus Kiosk with the intention of it being a small interactive with a locally hosted website (replacing a windows based unit)
i have followed these steps

http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=3288

i have the main page showing however a few of the sub pages have embeded videos using flowplayer, when i go to these pages i get the flow player loading screen but the video never plays, i Have flash and Java enabled

im at the end of my knowledge in this area, any one have any ideas?

is there anyway i can attach the page to this fourm?

Please send your local webpage with sample video included to support@porteus-kiosk.org and I'll see what i could do about it.

If this is not an option then please give me ssh and vnc access to your kiosk so i can do some debuging.

Thanks

for future reference:
in order to get flowplayer working you have to allow outgoing traffic on port 1935. you can do this by remastering ISO and adding following line to 003-settings.xzm/etc/rc.d/rc.FireWall:

Code: Select all

iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 1935 -m conntrack --ctstate NEW,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT

Hi

sorry for never getting back to you, i did a little research myself and ended up finding the best option was to remove flow player and use html5 and ogg videos due to my unit being local hosted and having no internet connection thanks for you help with this
