hi
i love porteus kiosk, it simple and secure, but i dont know how to schedule shutdown for my public kiosk with porteus kiosk 3.1
if i use installation wizard and enable shutdown button, then normal user can shutdown public kiosk, i dont want public / normal user can shutdown the kiosk, i just want every 5PM public kiosk is shutdown
for start up, I can use bios to help power up the kiosk
Thank You
Adi

Re: add shedule shutdown to porteus kiosk 3.1
hi Adi,
you can manually customize kiosk and add a cron package to it or use the scripts i posted here:
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... 199#p15055
i have checked them and they work ok.
maybe one day i'll add a cron support to the wizard - the only problem is to write a frontend to it
another idea:
setup crontab job on your admin PC to login through ssh to all kiosks and run 'init 0'. that should work even better
