First can I say I am new to Porteus and Linux, so please be kind :)
Kudos to the creator must say it’s a great product.

I would like to add multiple tabs to open at start-up and wiki to search bar
Is this possible?

I have tried:
unsquashfs 003.settings.xzm
Home/guest/.mozilla/firefox/c3pp43bg.default/prefs.js

File says not to be edited and to do URL about:config but won’t stay.
If I change this file and re-squash squashfs-root

It doesn’t work or Firefox start with “First Time” screen
URL about:config also has “Locked” lines on some line which can’t be edited.

Is there another file that is the default and overrides this file?http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration

I found this but I couldn’t get it to work:

About opening Firefox with multiple tabs : I did it using the homepage "pipe" separator :
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "https://abcdef.com/|http://www.coffeepoke.com/");

I have followed this great document:
http://files.porteus.org/PorteusKioskEd ... ble-v5.pdf
I have managed to change host name and the desktop image and then re-squash ,make iso, then make hybrid. Which was achievement :D

Hopefully this makes sence…
Thank you in adavance for any help!
Regards
Rance

regarding multiple tabs:
our web wizard supports them so you could do this on the wizard level and then perform other ISO modifications.
btw: 'Public Fox' addon is not present in kiosk-3.1 so there will be no more troubles with prefs.js customization.

regarding wiki search bar - please follow instructions from here:
