Hello all !
I have a question.
Is it possible to display videos with different names in the given homepage path?
homepage=file:///media/1.mp4 <---- it works
homepage=file:///media/*.mp4 <---- it does't work
I want the video to open with a different name. The videos are stored on a flash drive.
Any ideas? Thanks

Hello przodplecow,
This feature is not supported.
You would need to modify the kiosk ISO and add VLC player to it (warning: this is not an easy task due to many dependencies).
You would also need to update 'gui-app' script as explained here:
https://porteus-kiosk.org/faq.html#8
Scrip would have to discover available video files in the /media directory and play them one after another in a loop using VLC player (or mplayer/mpv).
Dedicated video player app closes automatically when the playback is finished so script can automatically start another video.
Browser does not close after playback and thats why its unsuitable for this task.
Thanks

Yep, you can do that, but you need the right software. I've been using Movavi for about a year, and it's pretty handy for stuff like this. It's got all the features you'd need. Check out https://www.movavi.com/learning-portal/ ... r-mac.html for more details. They have a free trial, too, so you can try it out without spending anything.
