Hello there,
Everything in title. I thought it was in prefs.js, but doesn't look like. Any idea?
The thing is, my kiosk is now really modified and recreating a new image each time is really a pain in the a**.
Thanks,
Steven
[Solved]Where is stored password for PublicFox?
Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

As well as for browser home page, is there any other place to set it then in prefs.js? It is still taking me to porteus.org!!

Might I suggest keeping all your modifications backed up (or as a separate module if possible) so upgrading will be easier? A new release came out yesterday.
The settings you want to access were stored in an encrypted file when you ran the wizard. It is possible to decrypt the file and access the contents but it is probably better for all users not to disclose the method publicly.
EDIT: I've PM'd you.

password for PublicFox (and some other important settings like homepage) gets encrypted only if you use kiosk wizard. maybe would be better for you to work with plain ISO so you could change PublicFox password/homepege and other settings directly in prefs.js?

Ok thank you guys, I managed to get it working somehow.
Last thing, extensions.dlwatch.pass is the key for PublicFox password? It is md5 encoded right? Can't get it to work though.
