Porteus

This is weird but everytime I close thunar file manager, xfce4 terminal also gets closed...

How to reproduce:

• Login in as guest user.
• Open thunar as root user (using the launcher)
• Open xfce4 terminal as root user (using the launche)
• Close thunar. --> xfce4 terminal also gets closed.

I do not know why, but how is this two related? Can anyone here help me?

What you mean by launcher?

I don't see this happen in rc3, but it does ,as described by OP, in older Porteus versions .

The application launcher that is found in the xfce task bar

hi,no problem to open thunar as root and terminal too, if you close thunar terminal stay on screen open with the launcher and standalone too,ok i don't use changes open the system in text mode.
