KDE: brightness control on laptop and external display

Post#1 by francois » 15 Jul 2017, 04:24

1.0 Under KDE plasmaI have achieved brightness control on my laptop which has the Intel card, also called intel_backlight with the inclusion of /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=311854

Code: Select all

Section "Device"
Identifier "card0"
Driver "intel"
Option "Backlight" "intel_backlight"
BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
EndSection
2.0 backlight is an other option to adjust the brigthness of the laptop only:

I would like to have the same control on my benq external monitor.

Edited:
And as I write this post down just realised that there are a full row of buttons on that display.
