Hi,
I'm trying te create an usb stick with preconfigured settings and rdesktop. The basic idea is that we can load the os into ram on student laptops so that they can connect to a rds enviroment. I've tried using a custom save file, but that file needs to be accessable on a usb stick. As soon as i remove the stuck the os freezes. I'm not shure as how to fix this or find if it even is possible. Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Porteus. Could you be more specific please? If you mean each student to have their own save file on a stick, then why is there the need to remove the stick? Suppose you could always try changes=Exit:/<path to save file>, and see if you just have to put the stick back before terminating the session.

Rename save file - add .xzm suffix and move it to modules - while doing it your OS shouldn't use save file e.g fresh boot mode.
You have mind and feelings. Be wise and clever.

@Bogomips. The purpose is to use just one usb stick. Load one laptop and then the next. Exam consist of useally 10 laptops so that's fine. Their's also a concern for theft if we use a lot of separate sticks and leave them with the students.
@Tome. Will try that aproach.
Thanks to both and wil keep you posted.
