On a new install.
Tried 'toor' , 'root' , '' , etc. Both on command line AND GUI.
Running on USB, version 3.1 486
Can't see anyone else had similar problem, so I'm stumped.
Any ideas??

Go to a console: (Ctl+Alt+F1, say)
See if you can login as root.

In console, I can login as guest with password 'guest'.
BUT when I login as root, with password 'toor' it says password is incorrect.
Same problem in GUI 'Always Fresh'.
Have edited porteus.cfg (per docs) to manually enable changes save to a .dat file, however no clear instructions on how to manually create the .dat file itself.
Wanted to do this in Porteus, but have no admin rights.
It is a new instal on USB. No password was ever changed.
