[solved] KDE installing questions

Post#1 by noobTeus » 09 Nov 2013, 14:17

Hi,

I've installed Porteus with LXDE from build.porteus.org.

I would like to try KDE. My comp's hardware are P4,1GB RAM & 128 Graphics memory.

How to install KDE from package manager or any other easier way?

Thanks.

look here:

Personally i prefer to download a standard iso and burn it on a cd-rw
to test if it fits my needs.

Hi donald,

I added the 003-kde.xzm in the modules directory & backup lxde.xzm to somewhere else.
KDE desktop is running nice. :Yahoo!:

But, I've one more question about this, all my desktop preferences are disappearing or reset to default at each boot/reboot. I've to set them again & again. How can I save the preferences permanently?
