1. sudo password should be guest not toor.

It's been reverted back to toor for all versions. It's the new standard.

Hello all,

Activate bluetooth daemon Porteus starts is not working , always when I restart my laptop I should go to Porteus Settings Center to Toggle Bluetooth daemon.
I just added blueman to my modules. is the only change until now with my XFCE RC3 :P

are you using any sort of 'changes'(folder,.dat)?
because all that ticking "activate bluetooth daemon when porteus starts" does, is make /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth executable (which allows rc.services to start it at boot)
to check:

Code: Select all

ll /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth
should say rwxr-xr-x
as yet, a "make a settings module" for changed settings in porteus-settings-centre hasn't been re-implemented..
to make such a module manually(for bluetooth):

Code: Select all

#mkdir /tmp/start_btooth
#cp -a --parents /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth /tmp/start_btooth/
#dir2xzm /tmp/start_btooth /tmp/start_btooth.xzm
and put it your modules folder.

Well I have setup my Porteus with a Change folder. I am not using container

activate bluetooth daemon when porteus starts" does, is make /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth executable Yes it is working right

In any case I did a module as you show me
Here is my log

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:/etc/rc.d$ ll '/etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth'
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1419 Jun 14 00:10 /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth*
guest@porteus:/etc/rc.d$ su
Password:
root@porteus:/etc/rc.d# '/etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth'
Usage: /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth {start|stop|restart}
root@porteus:/etc/rc.d# '/etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth' start
Starting Bluetooth services: bluetoothd hciconfig sdptool hciattach
root@porteus:/etc/rc.d#

My Bluetooth start to work with this command '/etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth' start
But not when I am restarting my System

Hi evergreen

1st step

Code: Select all

su
toor
chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth
/etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth start
2nd step. Try to give some time for starting bluetooth services.
Open as root /etc/rc.d/rc.services and tweak this service like this:

Code: Select all

# Start Bluetooth:
[ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth ] && sleep 5 && sh /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth start &
and reboot your Porteus.

If no result, you can add more seconds, for example sleep 10

Hello, I have an HP 240 G8 (ProdID: 203b6ea#abz) and my touchpad does not work, Windows 10 recognises it as ELAN INPUT DEVICE. Fortunately It detects my Wifi Card, I could not find a lot of distros that do. How can I help you to identify my touchpad? thanks :D

hi, add this to append line: i8042.nopnp initcall_blacklist=dw_i2c_init_driver. and reboot maybe work to check touchpad.
