4k display problem

Hi,
Recently, I purchased a new laptop,
Hp envy 15, i7 32G ran, nvidia rtx 2060, 4K display output. Before installing linux, I try to run porteus 5 rc1, and rc 2, but always frozen at X-windiws startup step.
But I try the the arch linux, everything seems okay, including alsa configuration. Therefore I decided to install arch linux with grub for dual boot function on the HP laptop.
Would the porteus linux have plan to support more recent hardwares?
