Hello pedro,

Try FAT32 or exFAT.

Have you tried a USB install?

How many partitions does your emmc drive have? And what's on them? Are you multi-booting other OSs?

Could it be that the kernel is older than your hardware? Is it possible to try Porteus 5 RC2?

PORTEUS DESKTOP 4. not found my HDD

Post#7 by roadie » 08 Apr 2021, 19:46

@pedrojinta,

It seems to be a common problem with EMMC. I would partition the entire thing, rather than leaving an unformatted section. Maybe a FAT32 for booting and an EXT4 for the rest. I found when I installed another ssd to my machine that it wasn't seen in the bios, or by Porteus until it was partitioned and formatted.

Check the specs of your machine online, you may find it has a socket for an M.2 ssd.......a long shot, but costs nothing to look.

I have tried too, but not found, but DSL recognized and install, even Salckware, but slackware uses lot of space.
