Intel Wireless WiFi: no firmware for iwlwifi [Solved]

I'm booting into an old laptop, and while the old Porteus 2.1 picks up WiFi no problem, the new Porteus 4.0 doesn't even offer a wireless device anymore! Although, it does recognize the hardware correctly, as per lspci output, as "Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300", kernel in use: iwlwifi. Now, that iwlwifi puts a few lines to dmesg saying that direct firmware load for 3 attempts: iwlwifi-6000-6 /5 /4 failed, and then "no suitable firmware".

Does anyone have a patch for iwlwifi to work with this adapter?

Hi,
I suppose that the firmware is missing, it's not a problem caused by the driver since it is correctly loaded and used by the kernel.
Please try to add this module on the /porteus/base folder and reboot.
I don't know what firmware is needed by your wireless card, so I included 7 different versions which should be compatible with your wi-fi card.
