[SOLVED]initrd, linuxrc, SLEEP=5

Dear @fantom & @brokenman,

In linuxrc there is "SLEEP=5" param.

I have Toshiba Portege slim laptop with DVD delay time to reading CD/DVD is about 10 sec.

This is good device but slow with any media.

May be it is done by manufacturer for saving power. May be - I do not know - but this device works in such way with any media.

I setup "SLEEP=25" and now Porteus boots from CD.

I do not know is this bug or not - just see booting stoppped, fixed and say to developers L)

Hello,

You don't to edit the linuxrc script.

You just need to use the 'delay=' cheatcode.

E.g : delay=25 will fix your hardware problem.

Cheers!

@Falcony
will raise 'SLEEP=' value to 10 seconds by default. as Hamza said: users can use 'delay=' cheatcode if they want more.
thanks for bug report.
