As title: we can install ttf fonts into system by [Install font]. However, is it possible to auto- installed font to system while activating xzm , including font?
Thanks in advance

hi cchuang,
"is it possible to auto- installed font to system while activating xzm , including font?"
hmmm... not sure but restarting Xorg serever may be required.
will definitely dig into this request - could you provide a sample module containing a font?
Cheers

Dear fanthom:
Here could find some fonts to test:
http://diffusion.cgu.edu.tw/ftp/porteus/32bit/util/
jsmath-fonts.xzm (for Math Symbols)
odosung-1.6.xzm (Chinese fonts)
ttf-fonts.xzm (Gnome and Window core font in sourceforget)
Thanks in advance

@cchuang
i need to admit that i'm still confused a little with font installation under Slackware (and probably all linuxes). as per /etc/fonts/font.conf seems that
Code: Select all
/usr/share/fonts/OTF
/usr/share/fonts/TTF
/usr/share/fonts/Type1
/usr/share/fonts/Speedo
/usr/share/fonts/cyrillic
/usr/share/fonts/misc
~/.fonts
are monitored all the time so if you remaster your modules and put all fonts in /usr/share/fonts/misc/your_font_folder they will be found automatically by the apps (sometimes restart of application may be necessary).
let me know in case of further troubles.

Thanks,
put fonts in one of the directories solves the problem.
