"/etc/rc.d/rc.sshd" is missing in the x64 arch of V1.0-Alpha of Porteus. While there are ways to get sshd working, this file makes it easy to start/stop the sshd service. It is part of the openssh-5.7p1-x86_64-2 slackware package and placed on the filesystem as "/etc/rc.d/rc.sshd.new".

You can grab this from the 32bit tree in the meantime. Should be in the last dropbox fanthom.

just checked and "/etc/rc.d/rc.sshd" is there :)
i have removed executable bit as we dont want a ssh service enabled by default (toor password for root is well known).
"chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.sshd
/etc/rc.d/rc.sshd start"
should do the trick :wink:

Please add [SOLVED].

@fanthom
My apologies, it was there all along. Too much time staring at the monitor. :fool:
