On my old Dell Vostro 1000 i cant seem to get porteus to work.
For some reason even using the vesa option after the boot procedures the startupscreen shows vertical colored lines and stays that way. I can hear porteus boot sound though.
My card is a ati mobility radeon x1150.
Any suggestions?

Hi Moebius
Older legacy ATI video card bad work in xserver-1.9.2 and 1.9.3 you can download http://www.mediafire.com/file/700towmcc ... top-r3.lzm
remove 002-xorg.lzm package from /base directory and put 002-desktop-r3.lzm
remember this is tested package but work with porteus-v01-alpha
pls report if work or not

Have you tried text mode? Is it also the same? If so you can try booting to text mode and running the ATI driver script in the HOWTO section by fanthom which on my machine blacklists fglrx. You might also try using the svn edition of porteus 32bit (v1.0a) which is more up to date than v09 but both contains an updated xorg (may be your problem).

@Moebius
please check FAQ answer 14:

and provide a log files. We can't do much without them.
would be also nice to get output of 'psinfo' utility. will be generated in your ~/Desktop directory.

Cheers
