No suspend after PCIe USB3.0 card installation

Please reproduce your error on a second machine before posting, and check the error by running without saved changes or extra modules (See FAQ No. 13, "How to report a bug"). For unstable Porteus versions (alpha, beta, rc) please use the relevant thread in our "Development" section.

I forgot to add:
that only happened after I exited X and restarted X, but as the same non root user...

For now, it is the first startup of Porteus, and suspend still works.
Still, the info:

About my last PM: Is there a way to get xubuntu started from a USB stick without using ubuntu's
usb-creator?
The grub lines are as follows:

Code: Select all

menuentry "Try Xubuntu without installing" {
       set gfxpayload=keep
       linux   /casper/vmlinuz  file=/cdrom/preseed/xubuntu.seed boot=casper quiet splash --
       initrd   /casper/initrd.lz
    }
How do I put that into the syntax of a Porteus /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg ?
Cheers!

Is there a way to get xubuntu started from a USB stick without using ubuntu's
usb-creator?
you could do it with grub/grub4dos which can boot from the ISO directly:
http://superuser.com/questions/154133/g ... t-from-iso
How do I put that into the syntax of a Porteus /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg ?
afaik syslinux wont let you boot from the ISO image
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

I tried it via this method:
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/boot-multi ... ing-linux/

I used gparted to move the beginning of the partition to the right, so that the grub2 img has its place. Grub installation goes without any error, and grub itself starts just fine.

But selecting any installed iso from the grub menu just results in a blank screen with a cursor blinking on the top left corner, and that's all that is happening...
Cheers!
