Porteus freezes when moving a Movie-Window

Porteus Final 2.0 64Bit

I very often do work with porteus, and I regonized, >> sometimes << when a Movie-Player, playing a Movie, gets changed with the mouse (moving the x & y position), it will freeze Porteus. I found out when pausing the Movie, and than move, the freeze bug never appears. It happens to VLC + also the internal Movieplayer which comes with Porteus Final as Default.

On Frozen-State the whole Desktop does not respond to anything, the Mouse-Arrow movement still can be seen but with a like 3-fps Frame rate. Nothing can help and I have to restart porteus.

hi lukaluki,

Why don't you use Porteus 2.0 64bit Final?

I am using it with copy2ram mode and having no such issue.

This sounds like it might be a video driver issue. What type of video card do you have, and have you tried the proprietary driver for it (if it's ATI or NVidia)?

answering Ahau's question is important - please generate full porteus system report and upload to pastebin.com.
not sure about VLC but mplayer has possibility for using different video outputs: xv, x11, gl, vaapi, etc...
trying these may solve your issue.
