Grub bootloader failed

I installed Porteus on netbook. I don't like default bootloader menu (KDE, LXDE, copy to RAM, always fresh, etc), so I installed grub with grub-install and then edited the menu.lst. After rebooted, grub started good at first but then displayed this:
and then freezed.
Last line is weird, usually it's like "Boot init 2.8". I checked menu.lst to see if I did mistake editing kernel and initrd parameter. But the path was right.
Next, I booted my Mint which has been installed already before - after I uncommented it from the menu.lst, rebooted, booted Mint and in terminal I installed grub2 and also update-grub successfully. But after I rebooted and chose Porteus, same thing appeared.
Any help appreciated, because I like Porteus speed and Trinity desktop which is even faster than Xfce distro I tried before.
Code: Select all
...
^ copying content of /mnt/sda8/porteus/rootcopy directory
^ changing root directory
live system is ready now - starting Porteus
Usage: init 0123456SsQqAaBbCcUu
