(forum) login problem

Today (but also yesterday) I could not log in until now.
I had even thought of signing up with a new user but the registration didn't work either.
Some time ago I had a similar problem, which was overcome by resetting the password.
This time I am reporting it to you because I don't want any problems in the forum to go unnoticed.

ive noticed this as well. It has to do with the session. I usually leave to a new os and forget to logout. then when i try to login I cant. but after 30 mins or an hour then I can login.
Ill test with actually logging out and then back in and see if it fixes it

Inactive users not logging off does contribute to the problem. As do users who have their notebook's battery die when not at home. I don't know what the forum's inactive timeout period is.

It's not a question of you logging out or not
vinnie, it's a problem of the forum supporting only 6 or 7 registered users at a time and if one of those spots is taken by someone not signed off and on a bathroom break or eating supper or taking a nap that spot is wasted. It's also complicated when the 4 or 5 registered browsers are all signed on at the same time. Like now: Baidu [Spider], Bing [Bot], Google [Bot], Yandex [Bot]

Are you sure? The limits you indicated seem really low to me.
I was told that the forum is under attack by “spam bots”.
I was only able to log on now
Have you seen that “who is online?” seems that the largest number was reached only a few days ago (Most users ever online was 244 on 06 Feb 2025, 10:53) and still there are on average a lot of guests.

In total there are 39 users online :: 4 registered, 0 hidden and 35 guests
Many users online but only 4 are registered, ie signed in.

Not sure why that number is so low or so recent. It use to be higher and older.

I am confused
Blaze.
I believe the times you show are in hh:mm:ss format and as such there are
minutes between many of the entries. As such why can't users log in at times between the Illegal access attempts?
Second, why does an Illegal access attempt to the registration page block a valid user at a valid ip address from performing a valid access to the valid log in page?

If you can't login and are told your IP address is blocked, do this:
Write your ip to unblock by email to Blaze: admin(at)ublaze.ru where (at) is @

wtf is going on?
---switched to cloudflare? -- tells me to enable javascript and cookies
OK,done and then "has to verify my security" which never completes so no forum
for me, (palemoon)
I really had to boot another OS (antiX + an unsecured Firefox) to get here.
no lets encrypt cert but "Google Trust Services" -- who want's that?
