My pseudo is my main question: As Porteus uses Gentoo, it should be (relatively) easily rebuild himself from Gentoo sources?
Is that right or wrong?
Is an equivalent to that highly interesting book or that other one also available for Porteus Kiosk?

Your post has been moved to the kiosk edition which is gentoo based. Porteus desktop is slackware based.

You could follow official Gentoo installation guide:
