Force Chrome login

Post#1 by wworkman » 04 Dec 2015, 16:16

Hello,

I've just installed the client and server free versions of Porteus on some equipment here at work. I'm looking to get a little more life out of some older devices we have. Things look really good from my end but I have a few questions.

Can I force people to login to Chrome?

Can I limit the accounts used to a specific Google domain accounts such as joe@myOrganization.org ?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hello Wayne,

"Can I force people to login to Chrome?"
Not sure if its possible. Your could set sign-in page as the homepage and whitelist only this page but i dont think there is a rule which would unblock other pages once user is authorized. At least i'm not aware of it.

Yes - you could inject following policy to the kiosk:
http://www.chromium.org/administrators/ ... nToPattern

using the 'browser_preferences=' parameter:
http://porteus-kiosk.org/parameters.htm ... references

Should work.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
