Hi all,

With my usb (that worked fine booting ubuntu before), i've tried to make it a usb boot with the iso from the website. Of corse i formatted the usb with the Fat 32 format and i used Unetbootin for make my ysb boot-able.

When i choose in the bios of the computer usb boot, this message shows up every time :

Code: Select all

Device not ready yet. Delaying 20 seconds. Error: Porteus data not found.

I tried also to make the usb boot-able with the software iso to usb and the same message pop up again.

I found some topics with the same problem but seems that no one found a solution.

Can someone help me to sort this please. thank you !

PKE iso version : 3.3.0

# Edit : http://porteus-kiosk.org/download.html#usb This will probably work. I'll edit the topic after testing it.

i installed porteus like this:

format usb disk to ext4, not fat
extract iso to that disk
run a file that makes disk bootable - it was on among the files fking abrom extracted iso

no need for unetbootin or any software

i thought is was about desktop edition, so the preceding text is about desktop edition, i have no experience with kiosk edition
