Hope everyone is safe and wasn't expecting 5.4 with the mess going on next door. Thanks!
The new kernel fixed/found the HDMI audio in N5105 computers. Nice!
NUC10s contains CEC control in bios to turn on TVs from S5 --> S0 over HDMI rather than tty https://blog.kingj.net/2015/09/23/revie ... ht-review/ but haven't gotten it to work. Also cec-client -l doesn't show and devices so perhaps there is a special HDMI cable (internal USB?) required? Once cec-client is connected, is run_command= the preferred execution method?
Be safe.

Kiosk 5.4 and cec
Rob,
You should be able to use any facility which is able to execute the system commands in order to utilize the CEC functions:
a) cron daemon:
https://porteus-kiosk.org/faq.html#22
b) 'scheduled_action=' parameter
c) 'run_command=' parameter
CEC utils were added to the ISO on a customer request. I hope he provides a feedback soon so I could advise something (I have personally never used them myself).
Thanks
