We were looking to upgrade some older kiosks...
Looks like this issue has returned, actually as of 4.8.0 and 4.9.0. No Wired network on Dell Optilpex 380 BCM57780
4.7.0 works fine.

Hmmm... - Arch linux removed relevant quirk from their documentation:

which would suggest the upstream fix still works and there is no need for manual workarounds.
Anyway - please contact with support@porteus-kiosk.org and i'll provide an ISO for testing.
