Porteus

Hello,

We are using Porteus Kiosk 4.7 on a panel PC of Cincoze (http://www.cincoze.com/goods_info.php?id=39) with Chrome as browser.
This is working very nice, but unfortunately we have a problem with VNC.

In version 4.6 of Porteus we used VNC a few times and in that version we were able to use VNC.
In 4.7 we can connect to VNC, but what we see in a VNC viewer (test with both TightVNC viewer as RealVNC) is not the actual content of the screen. When someone scrolls on the device, the VNC content is moving (strangely), but the content is not updated. We just see the outdated content moving up and down. When we click on something via VNC, the click is processed. But since the content is not actual, you have no idear where you just clicked on. This makes VNC unusable.

I hope someone can help us with getting VNC to work with our device. We really like Porteus and the way the kiosk can be managed remotely!

I cant reproduce your issue.

1) Are you testing on a real hardware on in virtual machine? If in VM them make sure you have at least 32MB of memory are assigned to the GPU card.

2) Maybe your website is to blame? Please test scrolling on porteus forum.

3) If above advices wont help then it could be GPU driver problem. Please generate debug report on your PC:

2) The forum of Porteus is giving the same problems. We are able to scroll over the main page of the forum (https://forum.porteus.org), but when after the first click, the problem appears also. The content is not updated anymore.
