I am having an issue getting the installation to work successfully with java. After the wizard runs, I have indicated to add flash and java. Flash downloads fine,

Java downloads to 98% and then hangs. The download process is slow because I am on a 1.5Mbps DSL line. I reproduced this three times (sorry, no second machine to try this on). The last time, I waited 10 minutes after the hang just in case the download counter was inaccurate, but that did not help. Finally, I installed without Java.

Thanks guys.

@pco
Maybe you have not enough RAM to fit java component? You would need 512MB or more.

Anyway - see here:

Thanks

I have 4 GB RAM, and I have successfully installed java previously on this slow DSL connection. When i first installed on this machine, I was using a T1 line, and I had no issues. Then I moved the machine to the production location that has a slow DSL line.

I had the same issue previously once at the location with the slow DSL line when I needed to make an adjustment to the whitelist, but then I ran the wizard again and it worked the second time. Yesterday, I needed to add some additional domains to the whitelist, so I needed to run the wizard again. Yesterday I tried three times to install with java, and each time it failed.

Yes, I may need to remaster the ISO to use the wizard in this location with the slow DSL connection.

You should use remote management to avoid repeating the installation when kiosk configuration needs to be updated.

Thanks
