Porteus Kiosk Network Connection Issues. [Solved]

Post#1 by dspang » 25 Sep 2014, 15:53

Greetings all. I'm having an issue with the Porteus Kiosk Edition. I have tried it on several computers to get past the network connection portion. However, no matter what I try, it gives me "Could not establish network connection, Please try again." Now I am using the latest version of Porteus(3.1.1) I am not behind a proxy. I have tried this on several computers, using a wired and a wifi connections. Tried different network ports, even checked the cables that I'm using, and still Porteus won't connect. Now, a few days ago Porteus was connecting to the network.

I know there have been no significant changes to the network that I am on, and our internet access is solid.

Would anyone happen to have any additional insights as to what else I can try?

Tried the new ISO. It did not work. However, I feel that there are issues with dhcp on this network(as in this is not getting an IP address.). I have already tested it with a static IP address and that happened to have worked.
