ok - will email you as must know some details like preferred printer brand, how you connect with it, etc..
once your printer is added we can extend drivers database to others. you pay the bounty so your printer(s) will be supported in first place.

thanks

Great! :good:
You have a time estimate for the availability?

@Acmor

printing is finished at least for printers supported by the guntenprint drivers. Canon printer i bought works nicely with it.
HP printers still needs some work (hplip requires python and dozen of other deps) but the person who promised to pay the bounty did not do it so far so i stopped working on this.
going to resume only when bounty is paid fully so it's basically up to the community when this feature is available.

how much is the bounty for full support of hplip?

@kimlop
there is only one bounty: 'printing in kiosk'. that will include hplip support if necessary. more work for me but i have given my word so will do my best to make it happen.
i would suggest throwing few euros into this (5, 10, 20 - doesn't matter) and hopefully others will join soon - that's how crowdfunding works :)

you have to use our kiosk bounty page:
http://wishlist.porteus.org/projects
so we will know which project is getting the money.

also - once printing is funded i would like to ask you for help with getting gutenprint/hplip to work with HP as i would like to avoid buying another printer(s).
community help is necessary in tasks where hardware support is crucial.

thanks

UPDATE
first donation for printing has been received :)

i have changed my mind and will deliver kiosk ISO's with printing support to the people who donated. this way they'll be able to use this feature early (wont have to wait till project is fully funded) and help me with resolving bugs.

@kimlop
may i query you through the private email about this early ISO access? hopefully next week i'll have something to test.

I was just offering myself as a tester and to get to know kiosk better, so that I provide more accurate solutions on the forum. Just to give back a little to what you generously contributed to my life with linux and porteus. :wink:
