move your /etc/shadow from /rootcopy to 003-settings.xzm and everything will be ok
explanation: all files from 003-settings.xzm gets unpacked during GUI start and every firefox restart. this way we can be sure that all important settings are preserved. even if user manage to replace /etc/shadow (or any other important file) in the system, this action is vanished once firefox reopens.
btw: i'll add support for ssh access to the next kiosk release (with a warning about impact on the security).
