The first time I added a user.......with useradd.......it hosed the entire system........on reboot no...

Re: grubinst - installation tool for USB and HDD for Porteus

I did a frugal install to an XP box yesterday, grub2xp worked well............just changed the menu.lst to reflect Porteus. Re: Adobe Flash temporary video storage

DownloadHelper seems to work with more sites as well.

Re: porteus 32bit alpha testers required

brokenman, I edited my post.............I was getting a black screen with a small console which showed nothing. Ctrk-bksp gave only a black screen, so no way to access logs............this is a recurring problem with Porteus and NimbleX as well. I think it may be a driver issue, although vesa always...

Re: porteus 32bit alpha testers required

brokenman, I get the same error as quax...........I'm unable to boot into Kde as of yet..........Lxde starts fine. This is the error I get with Konqueror in Lxde: Could not open library '/usr/lib/kde3/kio_http.la'. libgssapi_krb5.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Porteu...

Re: New members

Firstly, congratulations on the site. I wasn't at all surprised to see it launched, given the circumstances of the previous Remix dwelling place. I'm in agreement with ahz on the 4 post thing, I don't see a purpose in it. Trolls will gladly pay a 4 post price in order to spout their crap. Definitely...
