Do I have to convert them or can I copy them directly to the modules folder?
Thanks,
ahz

Re: [Solved] Font (?) problems again...
Months ago I needed font-adobe-100dpi for an application. So I searched for it with the command 'slackyd -I -g adobe-100dpi', downloaded it build a module out of it and ready. Quite easy.

Re: crippled sources for Porteus 2.1 ...
Thanks, I have read the Announcement for 2.1 only (and maybe I read the one for RC1 too, but if it was so it has been weeks ago so I don't remember).

Re: Font (?) problems again...
Thanks for the tiip. Unfortunally this has no effect (I used an old working 6.0.3 module). I recognized that Eclipse also has this font problem...
I guess it has something to do with missing libraries or dependency problem... really weird.

[Solved] Font (?) problems again...
Hello all, over a year ago I came up with the following: http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?t=1081 Now I am switched to Porteus 2.1 and have the exact same problem again (indeed I tried to figure out what it is for over a week now because I saw this behaviour in the 2.1rc2 too). I tried to add a...

Problem with changing resolution on some NVidia cards
Hello, no problem on 64 bit Porteus to autodetect the NVidia graphics card. But on this one (lspci gives: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G84M [Quadro FX 570M] (rev a1)) it is not possible to change the resolution. I have only two choise (auto or 1920x1200). As said before: Ano...

Re: [Solved] Font problem with Adobe Reader 9.4.7
Conclusion:
It is enough to create the symbolic link. No further copying files from Porteus 32 Bit is necessary. Thanks to fanthom for sorting this out!

Re: Font problem with Adobe Reader 9.4.7
Hmmm..., didn't work for me. It looks like something is deleting or overwrting /etc/pango/i486-slackware-linux/pango.modules that I copied from 32 Bit Porteus to compat32-libraries (size of this file is always 0 Bytes after booting but should be around 3500 when I compare it with the content of the ...

Re: Font problem with Adobe Reader 9.4.7
Thanks for the advices. Now I have done the following: 1. I have taken a well-working Acroread xzm-module (that I build for 32 bit Porteus from the .bin file) and bootet it with Porteus 64 bit (Always Fresh mode). After starting acroread the squares appear again 2. Take an acroread txz-module (Versi...

[Solved] Font problem with Adobe Reader 9.4.7
After installing AdbeRdr9.4.7-1_i486linux_enu.bin (KDE desktop) and starting acroread you get only blank squares instead of a readable font (an other application that shows the same behaviour is seamonkey-1.19 - sigh i need it for some reasons). A solution is posted here (small script at the bottom ...

Re: Additional 32 Bit libraries
Hello fanthom, now it works and the solution are the following three lines: cd /usr/lib rm libGL.so.1 ln -s libGL.so.1.2 libGL.so.1 This means: Use standard "libGL.so.1.2" instead of the Nvidia library "libGL.so.290.10". No additional software installation necessary (except the multilib package I me...

Re: Additional 32 Bit libraries
Here they are: On Porteus 64 Bit, Nvidia activated: linux-gate.so.1 => (0xf775b000) libXinerama.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama.so.1 (0xf7757000) libXext.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6 (0xf7749000) libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0xf762c000) libGL.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1...

Re: Additional 32 Bit libraries
Thanks for the hint fanthom. ldd on Porteus 64 Bit lists a nvidia dependency (while CentOS does not because of running in a VM). Booting Porteus without the nvidia drivers runs LabVIEW immediatly. So it s a NVidia problem again? The exact same setup with an ATI-based compuiter has no problems (with ...
