Re: Porteus "encrypter"/cryptoloop Broken!!

I think encryption of everything is not necessary. Rather ... just a virtual folder somewhere on the device to encrypt all your porn important material. +1 I only used 120Mb+ encrypted container for mail and few other programs. Just in case my USB flash drive will get to wrong hands. Although I cop...

I don't see power profiles on clean system. Even ones I've created. And can't assign them to events On AC/On battery.

Re: MPlayer-SVN-r34343-snapshot-4.5.2 (2011-11-13)

@fanthom
Do you by chance have source codes of mplayer-vaapi-r34357 (or other version you used)?
I've compiled mesa 7.12 with lots of options (g3dvl, xvmc, vdpau, vaapi) and they almost worked (on radeon x1600) last time I tried...

Re: a few stupid questions

1. I think your save file is corrupted. Personally I'd create it anew (but I use custom module to store changes)... Added: Forgot to add... I've noticed that new Porteus mounts its boot partition to /mnt/live/mnt/sdb instead of /mnt/sdb 2. Can you post a link? Probably you're using 32 bit module? If...

Re: MPlayer-SVN-r34343-snapshot-4.5.2 (2011-11-13)

Hi fanthom! Thanks! I agree that VA-API is definitely a good feature to have, but sadly I wasn't able to compile mplayer-vaapi 34180 from your link yet... At first I got errors about implicit declaration of TLS_free TLS_read, TLS_write and TLS_shutdown in libavformat/tls.c. As I understand this is r...

Re: Domino 0.4 x86 (KDE3 theme)

Yes, it's just I don't know what was changed.
As I noted this theme works in both cases (KDE in Slax and Trinity in Porteus) it means that everything's the same more or less.
I've noticed that "trinitized" theme used /opt directory but I believe it's just a nuance of distro...

Re: [HOWTO] Lilo + animated bootsplash

i have added a function to liloinst.sh which checks if lilo.conf already exists (/mnt/sdXY/boot/lilo.conf) from previous run. if yes then is being used. i believe that editing lilo.conf will be easier than editing liloinst.sh if user want to change cheats, fb size, menu itself, etc... Thanks! /boot...
