Porteus linux on the net or on the waves of the web
Hi burdi01,
the ISO is very old (based on Porteus 4.0, 32 bit), and it works!
But the current version (issue 5/2020) is based now on Porteus 5.0rc1
and this has the strange mistake that I can't explain to myself.

Use of activate in the script
That's working:
echo guest | sudo -S activate example.xzm
But I need:
"If not yet activated, then activate"
How can this be done?

Should Porteus prevent system permission changes when rootcopy is stored in non-POSIX file system?
Hi Ed_P,
many thanks for the help.
So I still have to learn how to create desktop files.

Should Porteus prevent system permission changes when rootcopy is stored in non-POSIX file system?
Hi ncmprhnsbl, I'm using Porteus 4.0 on a USB stick, fat32. I am using rootcopy. It is very useful. But problems never occurred! "nonPOSIX rootcopy disabled by default ie. just won't work at all" I wouldn't like that! Alternative to rootcopy: A simple script (some cp commands). This script should be...
