Re: SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0

@francois, check these libs (address at least the versions indicated): libunistring-0.9.3-x86_64-1.xzm libxkbcommon-0.8.0-x86_64-1cf.xzm python3-3.6.4-x86_64-1.xzm xcb-util-image-0.4.0-x86_64-2.xzm xcb-util-keysyms-0.4.0-x86_64-2.xzm xcb-util-renderutil-0.3.9-x86_64-2.xzm xcb-util-wm-0.4.1-x86_64-2....

Re: LXDE: PCManFM freezes all the time

AFAIK, LXDE isn't updated anymore. So it's unlikely that we'll see any bug fix :(

You can try to open PCManFM from a terminal, so when it crashes you may see something. :unknown:

Re: SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0

@Ed_P, you just need to follow what the terminal says: you don't have libssl. Here's the link: http://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/ ... 6_64-1.txz

Re: LXDE: PCManFM freezes all the time

Hmmm... That's odd. I've never seem LXDE crashing, but I have to admit that I haven't been using it that much. The build used was this one: http://ponce.cc/slackware/slackware64-current/lxde/

After the crash do you see anything in the terminal (ctrl + alt + f1)?

Simply download the official Slackware version and convert it to a XZM module (by right clicking): https://sourceforge.net/projects/wine/f ... 0Packages/

Re: Porteus Kernel Builder

@neko, you're still doing this amazing job! Thank you, very much! Do you mind if I make a suggestion? I was wondering if you could provide a fully working xzm module instead of providing a single package with both x86 and x64 kernels inside folders. I'm telling this because the average user probably...

Re: avidemux-2.7.1

Have you tried the AppImage version? It's supposed to be portable (self-contained): https://www.fosshub.com/Avidemux.html (look for Linux Universal Binary)

AppImage is a wonderful idea that usually doesn't work outside famous distros, but who knows...? :P

Re: SMPlayer for Porteus 4.0

What if we try to compile it? :)

https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2 ... /smplayer/

We just need a recent version of the Qt framework:

http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbu ... 4/current/

EDITED: here we go: smplayer-18.10.0 x86_64.xzm. :good:
