Re: Porteus-v3.2rc5 bug reports

After testing closing the laptop lid to suspend mode, to see if it causes the NetworkManager Applet to break. I found this after opening lid and pressing ESC to resume. I don't know if it supposed to be like that but thought I note it here. Had to take a photo with my android to capture the screen. ...

Re: NetworkManager Applet (3.2rc5)

The issue has changed for me now. I kinda corrupted my .dat container by accident the other day and had to make a new one. (Note to self: do not backup a .dat container in GUI mode again. :wall: ) The NetworkManager seems to start up okay now only except that I need to click on it and manually conne...

Re: Internal Wifi not recognized (3.2 RC5)

No worries. I'm sorry about that, mate. I didn't know other modules could cause issues with built-in base Network Manager. I'll keep Always Fresh in mind for future testing.

Re: NetworkManager Applet (3.2rc5)

It didn't work. It made the problem worse I'm afraid. Even though it sometimes failed starting. When it worked it wouldn't let me connect to the WiFi even if I tried manual connecting by direct hidden WiFi method. :(

Re: Internal Wifi not recognized (3.2 RC5)

There are times it takes 5 minutes for me just to boot up but I thought it was due to all the extra modules I added being loaded. Sometimes it quicker one part then slower than other part of boot. Just thought I note it.

Also, can change update delay in /etc/usm/usm.conf file for USM.

Re: NetworkManager Applet (3.2rc5)

I think I just got lucky the first time. The success and fail ratio feels the same out of the 3 attempts. The conf file I edited still has the new replaced value of dhcp=internal.

I'll try doing some testing. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Re: Porteus-v3.2rc5 bug reports

Was just trying out Vbox builder now and found when I choose Virtual Box or one with Guest additions, it prompts to download it. After it says it downloaded in seconds, there is nothing under /tmp/ called 05-devel.xzm and alerts fail to activate the module. Downloading the module from http://dl.port...

No worries about the command thing, mate.

I've tested it out. First time it worked. Then I tried to test it 2 more times by rebooting. But after first it kept failing same way.

NetworkManager Applet (3.2rc5)

When booting, there's a 2/3 chance NetworkManager Applet will fail starting up at boot resulting in no WiFi and Internet access. I mostly have to reboot and hope it starts next time to be able to get online. :( A video was posted not long ago with same issue in main index chat not long ago by someon...
