Re: VPN won't connect 3.2rc2
Actually no, just a openvpn.conf.sample. I assumed it would be set up as VPN is basic functionality these days. I got a black friday deal with torguard I think it is $15 for 6 months which is good. Yeah tor is slow I tried using it as a proxy but you never know where you are going to be and a VPN is...

Re: I can't boot please help!
Yeah I think so, I can edit the default booting options with F2 and see
in the "rEFIned - line editor"
Yeah, after extracing the .run in text mode I booted into GUI and immediately opened the console and ran the code to confirm.

Re: VPN won't connect 3.2rc2
Any reason why openvpn would fail on on rc2? It should work, right? The VPN connecting spin wheel lasts about 1ms before giving up, basically no time at all.

Re: VPN won't connect 3.2rc2
I figured at much but this code
made me think I needed to add another user. All I'm trying to do is connect to my VPN on Porteus network manager using openvpn.
Code: Select all
'User 'nm-openvpn' not found, check NM_OPENVPN_USER.'- 27 May 2016, 16:30

Re: VPN won't connect 3.2rc2
How do you add users on this OS, user nm-openvpn is required in order to connect to the VPN and needs to be in Group system.
Edit: Thanks I'll try that out now.

Re: I can't boot please help!
The iso you gave me of rc2 I installed with pendrivelinux universal installer selecting Porteus in the dropdown and installed to a flash drive. I boot that and get a choice to either load Windows, Porteus or shut down. Selecting Porteus it doesn't give me any menu like 3.1 did so it is "Always Fresh...

Re: I can't boot please help!
Checked. It seems you need the 361 driver after all. However if you do not furnish details of how you are booting the file, I cannot help you to make a driver module, as have no idea of your linux competence and of the booting process you are using. :( Ah. I would add the xzm to the modules folder....

Re: I can't boot please help!
That picture was 3.1 custom build with linux driver. Even with 350 nvidia driver it would not boot but I can boot 3.2rc2 porteus. Due to the lack of video driver though the fan goes crazy.

Re: I can't boot please help!
I tried a 350 driver xzm on here and the laptop still would not boot, so 3.2rc2 it is. I am glad I can use this version but my gpu fan goes up to 100 after 1 minute on the desktop from logging in. Is there somewhere I'm missing to adjust the gpu fan and see tempurature? Thanks
