Re: Nemesis unable to install a web browser

It is not the browser thing, it is about making pacman work, then all packages will be available. Arch without pacman is a dead end.

Re: Nemesis unable to install a web browser

It is difficult to answer to all of your questions, you have to study porteus basic documentation. I will give you some quick guidance and then you have to search by yourself pman -S opera if you think you have bypassed keyring issues correctly and pacman works as it should, pman creates xmz files a...

Re: Nemesis unable to install a web browser

Do not use Nemesis KDE, try LXDE instead, and if you get it right, you could even add KDE from the repositories later as xzm or at savefile level. I guess KDE version could make things more complicated for you. But anyway, nobody can help you if you do not provide some specific info, error messages ...

Re: ArchLinux packages manager for Porteus

"APorteus" is constructed with ArckLinux Packages based on Porteus frame. The "package manager" is "the Simple Package Manager for ArchLinux packages"(ArchSPM). But when it is used on APorteus environment, it is a simple package manager for Archlinux packages. The completeness of it is much less th...

Re: ArchLinux packages manager for Porteus

@istinjazz: From what I understand, neko's project is slackware. .. That is what I have thought also. Thanks for the clarification. I think you have described it clearly. This special "arch" package manager can under certain circumstances be useful to some Slackware users. edit: deleted to avoid fu...
