2019 Updated Nemesis Base Modules

create a symlink to /usr/lib/modules in /lib/modules, that is /lib/modules -> /usr/lib/modules/ in 000-kernel. Ok, tried it. I created 2 symlinks in 000-kernel: lib/firmware to /usr/lib/firmware and lib/modules to /usr/lib/modules. Now I am able to boot with the Porteus v5.0 rc1 kernel on nemesis. ...

2019 Updated Nemesis Base Modules

the issue, as i see it, is the difference between slackware and arch filesystems: in arch /lib, /lib64 are symlinks to /usr/lib (and /bin, /sbin to /usr/bin) and in slackware they're not.. maybe the /lib symlinks could be removed in the higher(001.002 003) modules, so they don't overwrite the kerne...

2019 Updated Nemesis Base Modules

First time nemesis user  First of all, good job ncm :good: Couldn't we make initrd same as Porteus 5? With latest fixes and newer busybox? To start with, I see it still uses the old .sgn mechanism and an old method of reading config files from boot medium which could be easily incorporated int...

Porteus v5.0rc1 problems

How did you install imagemagick? You dont need 05-devel module. Just use getpkg to download the package as I mentioned here - Porteus v5.0rc1 problems (Post by jssouza #73095) and run innstallpkg on the downloaded .txz file.

boot with grub4dos porteus in second partition flashdisk

If you are keeping both the partitions, then all you have to do is move the 'porteus' directory to the ext4 partition from the iso. Keep the booting kernel and initrd in fat32 itself.

bundle - Meld for Porteus 5.0rc1 Mate, Cinnamon, KDE and XFCE

Yup, that was the reason on all the 3 DEs. Now added gsettings-desktop-schemas into the bundle (redundant on kde and xfce) and works. Bundle renamed to alldesktops. but i suppose it wouldn't hurt to have it.. IMHO, I think it should be in base, coz the activate script compiles schemas whenever a new...

bundle - Meld for Porteus 5.0rc1 Mate, Cinnamon, KDE and XFCE

Tested on these 3 DEs and meld crashed. Why is gsettings-desktop-schemas not part of these DEs? :unknown: I would've thought any gtk based application that is activated on top of the DE would need the schemas compiled for it to work properly. Seems a little redundant to add gsettings-desktop-schemas...
